Practicing and Composing This week we did some more practice of key signatures as well as continued to compose our practical for our exam. We have been really busy as our exam is coming really soon. I have been having a lot of fun composing our African part and we will soon move on to starting our jazz section.

Presenting our lesson This week we presented our lesson on swing jazz. We also carried on producing some of our African section for our exam. I really enjoyed learning about swing jazz as i found it really interesting. we have also been doing a lot of revision for our exam which i have enjoyed as it is helping to prepare me for my exam.

Swing Jazz This week we started learning more about swing Jazz. We were all given something to research about swing Jazz, I was given the characteristics of swing Jazz. We then had to put together a lesson that we would teach the class.  I really enjoyed this as I learnt a lot and I had fun doing it.  I would like to look deeper into learning about swing Jazz.

Key signatures This week we learnt about key signatures. We had already learn't the basics last year so we just continued and  basically did a recap as well as learn't some more minor key signatures. I enjoyed doing this as i had forgot some of the rules and tricks so the lessons really helped me get back on track. I look forward to practicing and becoming better at key signatures.

Creating Instruments This week during the first lesson of the week, we learnt about how to create our own African instruments. My group was given the membranephones so my partner and I created a miniature version of an African drum. I really enjoyed this as it was a fun creative activity. I look forward to doing more fun and creative lessons in the future.

Grouping This week we learnt about grouping. We had already learnt the basics last year so we learnt more about the more advanced rules of grouping. I am personally not a big fan of grouping as sometimes it can be very challenging. So i will keep practicing and working hard to try and get better.   I look forward to doing more practice so i can become better and maybe start to enjoy it more.
